Along with some fun insights into their respective styles, they will teach you some basic movements. The best: No dance background is needed – dance lovers from all stretches of life are welcome to join us!

For the third time already, Flavourama is offering its special format of education:

a 5-day Intensive Dance Retreat in Bad Gastein, a beautiful valley in the middle of the Austrian Alps.

A maximum of 20 people will have the unique opportunity to be part of a very special retreat with a mentorship by two renowned, professional Hip Hop and House dancers – this year with Alesya Dobysh (NED) and Linda Hayford (FR).

Within those five days, the participants will have several dance classes, theory lessons and intimate talks with their mentors, who are specialized in working in theatre and performance contexts. Additionally, there will be group activities like an Alpine Hut Hike, a Yoga Class beneath a waterfall and a Jam night, to get together and share the love for dancing. The focus of these 5 days is to deepen your personal journey of creative work in different contexts, be it for performances in the theatre, for shows or battles. As for dance styles, it will be focused on Hip Hop and House Dance – but as both of the mentors are very versatile in their art, the Retreat is definitely precious for dancers of all kinds of Street and Club dances.

By the end of the week, a small performance will be developed, which will be performed at the jam night in Hotel Selina in Bad Gastein.

We have a cooperation with Hotel Selina, where the Retreat will take place:

If you want to stay at Hotel Selina directly (they offer single, double rooms and dorms), booking needs to be addressed to estherv@selina.com to get a 20 % discount for stays between the 27th of August to the 2nd of September.
